 1        AN ACT concerning land.

 2        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section 5.  The Illinois Department of Transportation  is
 5    directed  to  convey by quit claim deed the rest stop area in
 6    the Village of Spaulding along Illinois Route 54,  containing
 7    approximately  4.1  acres,  to  the  Village  of Spaulding in
 8    consideration of $1, to be used by the Village  of  Spaulding
 9    only  for  public purposes. If the land ceases to be used for
10    public purposes, the land reverts to the State of Illinois.

11        Section 10.  The Secretary of Transportation shall obtain
12    a certified copy  of  this  Act  within  30  days  after  its
13    effective  date  and,  upon  receipt  of  payment required by
14    Section  5,  shall  record  the  certified  document  in  the
15    Recorder's Office of Sangamon County, Illinois.

16        Section 99. Effective date. This Act  takes  effect  upon
17    becoming law.
