 1        AN ACT making appropriations.

 2        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4                              ARTICLE 1

 5        Section 5.  The sum of $38,403,546, or so much thereof as
 6    may  be  necessary,  is appropriated from the General Revenue
 7    Fund to the Board of Trustees of Chicago State University  to
 8    meet  the  ordinary  and contingent expenses of the Board and
 9    its educational institution, including reimbursement  to  the
10    University  for  personal services and related costs incurred
11    for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2004.

12        Section 10.  The sum of $250,000, or so much  thereof  as
13    may  be  necessary,  is appropriated from the General Revenue
14    Fund to the Board of Trustees of Chicago State University for
15    the Financial Assistance Outreach Center.

16        Section 15.  The sum of $2,400,000, or so much thereof as
17    may be necessary and  remains  unexpended  at  the  close  of
18    business  on  June 30, 2003, from an appropriation heretofore
19    made in Article 1,  Section  20  of  Public  Act  92-717,  is
20    reappropriated from the Capital Development Fund to the Board
21    of Trustees of Chicago State University to purchase equipment
22    to complete the construction of the Convocation Center.  This
23    appropriation   is   in  addition  to  any  funds  previously
24    appropriated.

25        Section 99.  Effective date.  This Act  takes  effect  on
26    July 1, 2003.
