 1        AN ACT making appropriations.

 2        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section  5.  The  sum  of  $  250,000, or so much of that
 5    amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the  General
 6    Revenue  Fund  to  the  Board  of  Trustees  of  Northeastern
 7    Illinois  University  to  meet  the  ordinary  and contingent
 8    expenses of the University  required  to  match  the  Federal
 9    Title  11  Teacher Quality Enhancement State Grant, including
10    payment or  reimbursement  to  the  University  for  personal
11    services  and  related  costs incurred during the fiscal year
12    authorized by law for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2004.

13        Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect on July
14    1, 2003.
