 1        AN ACT in relation to children and families.

 2        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section  5.  The  Children  and  Family  Services  Act is
 5    amended by adding Section 21.2 as follows:

 6        (20 ILCS 505/21.2 new)
 7        Sec. 21.2.  Training program;  protecting  children  from
 8    domestic  violence.  The  Department  must  train  all  staff
 9    members  who conduct child protective services investigations
10    regarding how and when  to  use  the  injunction  process  to
11    remove a perpetrator of domestic violence from the home as an
12    intervention to protect a child.

13        Section  99.  Effective  date. This Act takes effect upon
14    becoming law.
