 1        AN ACT concerning perfusionists.

 2        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section  5.  The  Perfusionist Practice Act is amended by
 5    changing Section 15 as follows:

 6        (225 ILCS 125/15)
 7        (Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2010)
 8        Sec. 15.  Powers and duties of the Department.
 9        (a)  The Department must shall exercise  the  powers  and
10    duties   prescribed  by  the  Civil  Administrative  Code  of
11    Illinois for the administration of licensing  Acts  and  must
12    shall  exercise  any  other  powers  and duties necessary for
13    effectuating the purposes of this Act.
14        (b)  The Department may adopt rules consistent  with  the
15    provisions of this Act for its administration and enforcement
16    and  may  prescribe  forms that shall be issued in connection
17    with this Act. The rules may include but are not  limited  to
18    standards  and  criteria for licensure, professional conduct,
19    and discipline.
