 1        AN ACT in relation to aging.

 2        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section  5.  The  Partnership  for  Long-Term Care Act is
 5    amended by changing Section 15 as follows:

 6        (320 ILCS 35/15) (from Ch. 23, par. 6801-15)
 7        Sec. 15.  Program.
 8        (a)  The Department on Aging,  in  cooperation  with  the
 9    Department  of  Insurance,  and the Department of Public Aid,
10    shall administer the program.
11        (b)  The Departments shall seek any federal  waivers  and
12    approvals  necessary  to accomplish the purposes of this Act.
13    In anticipation of changes in federal provisions  related  to
14    the  granting  of  waivers, the Department of Public Aid must
15    file a waiver request  to  implement  the  asset  protections
16    contained  in  this  Act  within 6 months after the effective
17    date of this amendatory Act of the 93rd General Assembly.

19        Section 99.  Effective date.  This Act takes effect  upon
20    becoming law.
