| 1 | | SENATE RESOLUTION
| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to | 3 | | congratulate Tim Wynes, J.D., on the occasion of his | 4 | | retirement as president of Black Hawk College; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, President Wynes recently concluded his 21st year | 6 | | as a college president, a journey that included posts in Iowa | 7 | | and Minnesota; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, President Wynes graduated from Cornell College | 9 | | and St. Louis University School of Law; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, President Wynes previously served as a prosecutor | 11 | | and associate professor of clinical law at the University of | 12 | | Missouri, and he spent three years as legal director for | 13 | | former Governor Mel Carnahan of Missouri, where he learned | 14 | | about community colleges; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Under President Wynes' leadership, Black Hawk | 16 | | College has experienced significant growth and prosperity; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, President Wynes has been instrumental in | 18 | | increasing enrollment, expanding programs and facilities, and | 19 | | improving relations with the community; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Through President Wynes's guidance, Black Hawk | 2 | | College has become one of the leading institutions of higher | 3 | | learning in the region; and
| 4 | | WHEREAS, Over the course of his professional career, | 5 | | President Wynes has been aided by the support of his wife, | 6 | | Becky, and their two children; therefore, be it
| 7 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL | 8 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Tim | 9 | | Wynes, J.D., on his retirement as president of Black Hawk | 10 | | College, and we wish him the best in his future endeavors; and | 11 | | be it further
| 12 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 13 | | presented to President Wynes as an expression of our esteem | 14 | | and respect.
