| 1 | | SENATE RESOLUTION | 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | 3 | | to learn of the death of William C. "Bill" Keller Jr. of | 4 | | Farmington, previously of Peoria Heights and Creve Coeur, who | 5 | | passed away on August 29, 2024; and | 6 | | WHEREAS, Bill Keller was born to Esther Pence Keller and | 7 | | William C. Keller Sr. in Peoria on April 14, 1936; he graduated | 8 | | from Woodruff High School in 1955; he received a degree in | 9 | | robotics from Illinois Central College; he served in the U.S. | 10 | | Air Force; he married Betty Lou Bauwens on December 4, 1958; | 11 | | and | 12 | | WHEREAS, Bill Keller worked for the post office, Logan | 13 | | Printing, and Peoria Camera and as a valet at OSF St. Francis | 14 | | Medical Center in Peoria; and | 15 | | WHEREAS, Bill Keller served as a deacon at United | 16 | | Presbyterian Church in Peoria, where he also played hand bells | 17 | | and sang in the choir; and | 18 | | WHEREAS, Bill Keller enjoyed fishing, camping, bowling, | 19 | | and playing darts; and | 20 | | WHEREAS, Bill Keller was preceded in death by his parents; |

| 1 | | his wife; his children, Dawn M. Weeks and William C. Keller | 2 | | III; and his sister, Patricia Marrs; and | 3 | | WHEREAS, Bill Keller is survived by his children, Karla K. | 4 | | (Keller) Lewis, Veronica L. (Keller) Shumaker, and Paul D. | 5 | | Keller; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren; | 6 | | therefore, be it | 7 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL | 8 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 9 | | William C. "Bill" Keller and extend our sincere condolences to | 10 | | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 11 | | further | 12 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 13 | | presented to the family of Bill Keller as an expression of our | 14 | | deepest sympathy. |
