| 1 | | SENATE RESOLUTION | 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | 3 | | to learn of the death of Angel Ross Purcell, who passed away on | 4 | | September 14, 2024; and | 5 | | WHEREAS, Angel Ross Purcell was born to Robert and | 6 | | Catherine Ross in Chicago; she was a lifelong resident of the | 7 | | Roseland community; she attended Kohn Elementary School and | 8 | | graduated from Harlan High School in 1989; she attended | 9 | | Olive-Harvey College for two years; she married her childhood | 10 | | sweetheart, Curtis Purcell, on September 14, 2007; in her | 11 | | final weeks of life, she had resided with her mother and her | 12 | | sister, April, in Texas; and | 13 | | WHEREAS, Angel Ross Purcell worked for American Girl, | 14 | | where she served as a merchandise handler for the Department | 15 | | of Operations for more than 25 years; and | 16 | | WHEREAS, Angel Ross Purcell committed to her faith at an | 17 | | early age; she enjoyed spending time with her family and close | 18 | | friends and was well-known for her love of Mickey and Minnie | 19 | | Mouse; and | 20 | | WHEREAS, Angel Ross Purcell is survived by her husband, | 21 | | Curtis Purcell; her parents, Catherine Ross and Robert (Donna) |
