AN ACT concerning revenue.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Chicago Park District Act is amended by adding Section 26.10-13 as follows:

(70 ILCS 1505/26.10-13 new)

Sec. 26.10-13. Use of proceeds from special events. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, at least 10% of the special event permit fees, including, but not limited to, application fees, collected by the Chicago Park District on or after the effective date of this amendatory Act of the 103rd General Assembly must be used for capital, construction, or programming purposes at the specific park where the special event occurs. This Section does not apply to special events that occur at Grant Park.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect January 1, 2025.
