SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

730 ILCS 5/5-4.5-5

Amends the Unified Code of Corrections. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning sentencing. Provides that the amendatory Act may be referred to as the Clean Slate Act.

A BILL FOR

AN ACT concerning criminal law.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 1. This Act may be referred to as the Clean Slate Act.

Section 5. The Unified Code of Corrections is amended by changing Section 5-4.5-5 as follows:

Sec. 5-4.5-5. STANDARD SENTENCING. Except as specifically provided elsewhere, this this Article governs sentencing for offenses.
