SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

775 ILCS 55/1-21 new

Amends the Reproductive Health Act. Restricts a person from opening, conducting, or maintaining a facility in which mobile abortions services are performed. Defines "mobile abortion services" as any abortion-related services provided in a moveable vehicle or nonpermanent clinic.

A BILL FOR

AN ACT concerning abortion.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Reproductive Health Act is amended by adding Section 1-21 as follows:

(775 ILCS 55/1-21 new)

Sec. 1-21. Mobile abortion services prohibited.

(a) Notwithstanding any other provision of law, no person shall open, conduct, or maintain a facility in which mobile abortion services are performed, including services to terminate a pregnancy or to manage pregnancy loss, regardless of whether the abortion services are medical or surgical in nature.

(b) As used in this Section, "mobile abortion services" means any abortion-related services provided in a moveable vehicle or nonpermanent clinic.
