SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Terry G. Sours of Lewistown, who passed away on March 13, 2024; and

WHEREAS, Terry Sours was born to Gene and Lois (Kline) Sours in Pekin on May 27, 1950; he served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam; he married Roxann Hughes in Lewiston on April 6, 1973; and

WHEREAS, Terry Sours worked as an over-the-road truck driver; and

WHEREAS, Terry Sours enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren; and

WHEREAS, Terry Sours was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and one sister; and

WHEREAS, Terry Sours is survived by his wife of 50 years, Roxann; his children, Clint (Christina) Sours and Adam (Erin) Sours; his grandchildren, Jainee, Rhett, Karia, Mylie, Carter, and Adalee; his brother, Mike Sours; his sisters, Diane (Steve) Scott, Debbie (Lester) Griffin, and Lisa Sours; and his dog, Peanut; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Terry G. Sours and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Terry Sours as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
