SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to congratulate Carrie (Griswold) Wiggins on the occasion of her tenure as president of the Illinois Pharmacists Association; and

WHEREAS, The Illinois Pharmacists Association is dedicated to enhancing the professional competency of pharmacists, advancing the standards of pharmacy practice, improving pharmacists' effectiveness in assuring rational drug use in society, and leading in the resolution of public policy issues affecting pharmacists; and

WHEREAS, Carrie Wiggins graduated from Eldorado High School in Eldorado in 1996 and St. Louis College of Pharmacy in St. Louis, Missouri in 2001; and

WHEREAS, Carrie (Griswold) Wiggins presently works as director of Market Health and Wellness for Walmart in Southern Illinois, where she supervises 11 pharmacies and four vision centers in Southern Illinois; she will celebrate her 20th anniversary with Walmart in July 2023; and

WHEREAS, Carrie Wiggins currently serves as the 2022-2023 president of the Illinois Pharmacists Association; and

WHEREAS, Carrie Wiggins also serves on the Illinois Board of Pharmacy, having recently been appointed by Governor JB Pritzker; and

WHEREAS, Carrie Wiggins is passionate about her community and actively supports the Veterans Honor Flight of Southern Illinois and the Southeastern Illinois Community Health Coalition; and

WHEREAS, Carrie Wiggins is married to Matthew Wiggins, and they live in Eldorado with their three sons, Dillon, Braden, and Liam Wiggins; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Carrie (Griswold) Wiggins on her tenure as president of the Illinois Pharmacists Association; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Carrie Wiggins as an expression of our esteem and respect.
