SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of James Edwin "Jim" Falline of Moline, who passed away on January 12, 2021; and

WHEREAS, Jim Falline was born to Edwin and Myrtle (White) Falline on October 27, 1926; he served in the U.S. Navy during World War II; he married Mardelle Docherty in Rock Island on April 22, 1950; and

WHEREAS, Jim Falline worked as a process engineer at the International Harvester Farmall Plant before retiring in 1985; and

WHEREAS, Jim Falline was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Moline; he enjoyed golfing, watching the Chicago Bears and Cubs games, traveling, and spending time with family; and

WHEREAS, Jim Falline was preceded in death by his sisters, Betty McCaw and Marylee Laut; and

WHEREAS, Jim Falline is survived by his wife of 70 years, Mardelle; his children, Marsha Falline and Brian Falline; and his grandchildren, Dane Falline, Kade Falline, and Erin Falline; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of James Edwin "Jim" Falline and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Jim Falline as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
