SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of George Edward Snyder of Holiday Shores, who passed away on December 25, 2021; and

WHEREAS, George Snyder was born to Horace J. "Bud" Snyder and Mary Katherine (Roe) Snyder in Industry on October 24, 1938; he graduated from Alton High School; he attended Western Illinois University; he served as a helicopter mechanic in the U.S. Army; and

WHEREAS, George Snyder had a passion for cars and worked in automotive and tire sales for over 50 years; and

WHEREAS, George Snyder was an avid golfer and hunter and enjoyed fishing; and

WHEREAS, George Snyder was preceded in death by his parents and his former wife, Barbara (Watson) Snyder; and

WHEREAS, George Snyder is survived by his wife of 27 years, Linda (Brown-Grable) Snyder; his children, Cathy (Jerry) Hertzler, Tom (Cindy) Snyder, Kristen (Matt) Landwehr, Brent (Stacey) Grable, Brian (Suzanne) Grable, and Shannon (Brian) Farmer; his sister, Mary Sue (Gary) Weitzel; his sister-in-law, Maxine Curtis; his brother-in-law, Lowell (Mary) Brown; his 12 grandchildren; his five great-grandchildren; and his numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of George Edward Snyder and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of George Snyder as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
