SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Robert "Butch" Wojtowicz of Granite
4City, who passed away on December 8, 2021; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Robert Wojtowicz was born to John and Otillia
6(Hoffman) Wojtowicz in DuBois on January 23, 1951; he
7graduated from Granite City High School in 1969; he married
8Barbara J. (Hensel) Wojtowicz at the Affton Presbyterian
9Church in Affton, Missouri on January 18, 2003; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Robert Wojtowicz worked for the Illinois Terminal
11and Norfolk and Southern Railroad for 18 years as a railroad
12carman; he had also served as the director of Christmas in
13April for several years; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Robert Wojtowicz was a member of the Granite City
15Elks Lodge; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Robert Wojtowicz had a love for horses, enjoyed
17his early days of playing baseball, and loved a day of fishing;
18and
 
19    WHEREAS, Robert Wojtowicz was preceded in death by his
20parents and his twin brothers, Herman and Henry Wojtowicz; and

1    WHEREAS, Robert Wojtowicz is survived by his beloved wife;
2his son, Kenneth (Kathy) Wojtowicz; his daughter, Jennifer
3(Allan) Cochran; his four grandchildren, Ann Wojtowicz, Jon
4Wojtowicz, Delaney Cochran, and Harper Cochran; his two
5great-grandchildren, Trevor Rivenburgh and Carson Miller; his
6sister, Marcella (Orland) Haun; and his other extended family
7members and friends; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Robert "Butch" Wojtowicz and extend our sincere condolences to
11his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Robert Wojtowicz as an expression
15of our deepest sympathy.
