SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Lucille K. Masching of Pontiac, who passed away on November 24, 2021; and

WHEREAS, Lucille Masching was born to Joseph Leo and Irene (Ready) Kelly in Emington on June 9, 1931; she graduated from Dwight High School in 1949; she married Edward P. Masching in Loretto on October 20, 1951, and he preceded her in death on January 18, 2021; and

WHEREAS, Lucille Masching worked in office administration for the Pontiac Daily Leader and Evenglow Lodge in Pontiac; she later worked for Safeco Insurance in Atlanta, Georgia and then the Community Memorial Hospital in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin; and

WHEREAS, Lucille Masching was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Pontiac; she enjoyed writing letters, sending cards, and collecting family history and ancestry; she loved giving her sons a hard a time as often as she could; she was very proud of her Irish heritage; and

WHEREAS, Lucille Masching was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward Masching; her grandson, Derek Seib; and her brothers, Clare Kelly and Joe Kelly; and

WHEREAS, Lucille Masching is survived by her children, Joyce (Don) Seib, Joan (Richard) Hyde, Mark (Kristy) Masching, Kevin (Joni) Masching, and Eric Masching; her brother, Leo Kelly; her sisters-in-law, Delores Kelly and Kay Kelly; her grandchildren, Brian (Lindsay) Masching, Todd (Jen) Masching, Rich (Jamie) Hyde, Kara (Justin) Hoffmann, Brock Masching, Kyle (Brittany) Masching, and Larissa (Charles) Johnson; and her great-grandchildren, Addison, Bailey, Cayden, Owen, Olivia, Damian, Adley, Darren, Arya, Troy, Hannah, Collin, Blake, Bryce, and Kamryn; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Lucille K. Masching and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Lucille Masching as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
