| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | 3 | | to learn of the death of Robert E. Tanghe of East Moline, who | 4 | | passed away on November 19, 2021; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Robert Tanghe was born to Peter and Germaine | 6 | | (VanHecke) Tanghe in Moline on December 8, 1931; he received | 7 | | his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the | 8 | | former Iowa State College; he served in the U.S. Army during | 9 | | the Korean War; he married JoAnn Redecker at St. Mary's Church | 10 | | in Rock Island on October 31, 1959; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Robert Tanghe worked at Eagle Signal for over 30 | 12 | | years; he later retired from the Rock Island Arsenal in 1997; | 13 | | and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Robert Tanghe was a member of St. Mary's Church | 15 | | in Rock Island; he enjoyed gardening, home improvement | 16 | | projects, and model airplanes; alongside his wife, he enjoyed | 17 | | traveling during retirement, including taking cruises to many | 18 | | different destinations; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Robert Tanghe was preceded in death by his | 20 | | parents; his sister and his brother-in-law, Marie and Don | 21 | | Lannoo; his granddaughter, Kayla DiIulio; and his |

| 2 | | WHEREAS, Robert Tanghe is survived by his wife, JoAnn; his | 3 | | children, Lisa (Joe) DiIulio, Julie (Brian) Bausch, Carol | 4 | | (Mike) Cutkomp, and Paul Tanghe; his grandchildren, Joey | 5 | | (Jamie) DiIulio, Tom (Brooke) DiIulio, Krista (Damian) Papish, | 6 | | Grace Copen-DiIulio, Alex Bausch, Amber Bausch, Jeff (Sara) | 7 | | Cutkomp, Dan (Emily) Cutkomp, Peyton Tanghe, and Megan Tanghe; | 8 | | and his 12 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
| 9 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | 10 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 11 | | Robert E. Tanghe and extend our sincere condolences to his | 12 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 13 | | further
