SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Franklin "Frank" Dall of Aviston, who passed away on November 9, 2021; and

WHEREAS, Frank Dall was born on the family farm in Aviston to Edward and Clara (Korte) Dall on July 13, 1940; he married Joann Voss at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Breese on June 9, 1960; and

WHEREAS, Frank Dall was a retired dairy farmer; and

WHEREAS, Frank Dall collected and restored vintage John Deere tractors and enjoyed going on tractor drives; he was a member of St. Francis Church, where he was a former trustee; he was a former member of the Aviston Elementary School Board and a member of Prairie Farms Dairy; he enjoyed hunting and attending auctions, but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family; and

WHEREAS, Frank Dall was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Carla Knackstedt; his granddaughters, Hannah and Nicole Knackstedt; his brother, Jerry Dall; his sister, Betty (Don) Scott; and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, August and Rose Voss; and

WHEREAS, Frank Dall is survived by his wife of 61 years, Joann; his children, Kevin (Melinda) Dall, Mark (Jan) Dall, Gary (Erin) Dall, Coleen (Craig) Klein, and Jolyn (Matt) Johnson; his son-in-law, Kent Knackstedt; his grandchildren, Annie Dall (Dante Yokley), William Dall, Hillary (Chris) Frost, Clinton Dall, Morgan (Lee) Davis, Lydia Dall, Justin Knackstedt (Amara Hartnagel), Tori, Taylor, and Emma Dall, Jacob (Merissa) Kriegel, Chad (Taylor) Klein, Chase Klein (Morgan McAteer), Tyler, Payton, and Shelby Tarr, and Justin Clark; his great-grandchildren, Austen, Sadie, and Blake Frost, Jace Knackstedt, Amelia Kriegel, Greyson and Maddox Klein, and Tessa Davis; his brother, Jim (Karen) Dall; his sisters-in-law, Mary Ann (Tony) Diaz, Pat Maier, and Ruthie (Maurice) Eversgerd; his brother-in-law, John Voss; and his faithful pup, Buddy; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Franklin "Frank" Dall and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Frank Dall as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
