SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Anne Berry, who passed away on November 14, 2020 at the age of 88; and

WHEREAS, Anne Berry was born in Chicago on October 28, 1932; and

WHEREAS, Anne Berry earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Illinois and the Illinois Institute of Technology; and

WHEREAS, Anne Berry married Bill Berry in 1964; and

WHEREAS, Anne Berry lived her adult life in Chicagoland, the Village of Oak Park specifically, and Indianapolis; and

WHEREAS, Anne Berry built a long and successful career in art teaching and curation; during retirement, she was a docent for the Indianapolis Museum of Art; and

WHEREAS, Anne Berry was politically engaged and eagerly cast her ballot in the 2020 election; and

WHEREAS, Anne Berry was preceded in death by her husband and her son, Jason Berry; and

WHEREAS, At the time of her death, Anne Berry was survived by her daughter, Diann Harris; her grandson, Drew Harris; her brother, Donald Andersen; her daughter-in-law, Andrea Berry; her nephews and nieces; and her friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Anne Berry and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Anne Berry as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
