SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

20 ILCS 3305/7.5 new

Amends the Illinois Emergency Management Agency Act. Provides that during the pendency of a proclamation by the Governor declaring that a statewide disaster impacting every county exists, all local health departments shall report to and be directed by the Department of Public Health.

AN ACT concerning State government.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Illinois Emergency Management Agency Act is amended by adding Section 7.5 as follows:

(20 ILCS 3305/7.5 new)

Sec. 7.5. Disaster declaration; local health departments. During the pendency of a proclamation by the Governor declaring that a statewide disaster impacting every county exists under Section 7, all local health departments shall report to and be directed by the Department of Public Health.
