SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
225 ILCS 447/35-50 new

    Amends the Private Detective, Private Alarm, Private Security, Fingerprint Vendor, and Locksmith Act of 2004. Provides that a private detective or private detective agency licensed under the Act shall have access to the State of Illinois Insurance Verification System to the fullest and same extent as any insurer, agent, or State user of the System for any legitimate business purpose for which the private detective or private detective agency is licensed.

1    AN ACT concerning regulation.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The Private Detective, Private Alarm, Private
5Security, Fingerprint Vendor, and Locksmith Act of 2004 is
6amended by adding Section 35-50 as follows:
 
7    (225 ILCS 447/35-50 new)
8    Sec. 35-50. State of Illinois Insurance Verification
9System. Notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary,
10a private detective or private detective agency licensed under
11this Act shall have access to the State of Illinois Insurance
12Verification System to the fullest and same extent as any
13insurer, agent, or State user of the System for any legitimate
14business purpose for which the private detective or private
15detective agency is licensed.
