HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the deaths of brothers Eric D'Wayne Bailey and Zamion Patrick Tre'Michael Bailey of Peoria, who passed away on June 2, 2021; and

WHEREAS, Eric Bailey was born on September 26, 1993, and Zamion Bailey was born on July 29, 1998; they were both born in Peoria to Patsy Ann Jackson and Eric Delane Bailey; they were educated in the Memphis City Schools in Memphis, Tennessee; Eric honorably served in the U.S. Marine Corp for two years; and

WHEREAS, Eric Bailey worked at Jordan Aluminum in Memphis, Tennessee before returning to Peoria; Zamion Bailey worked at William Sonoma as a warehouse associate in Olive Branch, Mississippi before moving back to Peoria; and

WHEREAS, Eric Bailey, an Indianapolis Colts fan, and Zamion Bailey, an Atlanta Falcons fan, were kind and loving young men who would do anything for their family; the two were inseparable; both were the jokesters of the family and loved playing video games and basketball; and

WHEREAS, Eric and Zamion Bailey were preceded in death by their grandfather, Clyde McLeod, and their uncles, Michael Jackson, Lewis Bailey, William Bailey, Gayland Bailey, and Rodrico McLeod; and

WHEREAS, Eric and Zamion Bailey are survived by their parents, Patsy A. Jackson and Eric Bailey; their maternal grandparents, Annie Jackson and Isaac Strong; their paternal grandmother, Zola McLeod-Bailey; their brothers, Reuben Winters, Corey Fleming, and Jacoby Russell; their sisters, RoShaunte Jones, Keaira Russell, Shajuane Winters, and Cierra Jackson; their aunts, Linda (Omeretires) Barnes, Arleatha Jackson, Cynthia Jackson, Bertha Tolliver, Sandra Bailey, and Sheila (Robert) Bryant; their uncle, Patrick Jackson; their godmother, Christina Giles; their god-grandmother, Elizabeth Harmon; their godchildren, Syriah McMillian and Mahogany Walls; their special cousins, Monizsa Jackson and Bianca Paige; their host of nieces and nephews; their cousins; and their friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Eric D'Wayne Bailey and Zamion Patrick Tre'Michael Bailey and extend our sincere condolences to their family, friends, and all who knew and loved them; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Eric and Zamion Bailey as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
