SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

305 ILCS 5/5-11b new

Amends the Illinois Public Aid Code. Provides that a redetermination of eligibility for medical assistance benefits shall be conducted once every 12 months. Effective January 1, 2022.

AN ACT concerning public aid.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended by adding Section 5-11b as follows:

(305 ILCS 5/5-11b new)

Sec. 5-11b. Redetermination of eligibility; limitation. A redetermination of eligibility for benefits provided under this Article shall be conducted once every 12 months.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect January 1, 2022.
