SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
35 ILCS 505/7b  from Ch. 120, par. 423b

    Amends the Motor Fuel Tax Law. Provides that only railroad companies, street, suburban or interurban railroad companies, and pipeline companies are required to report deliveries of motor fuel (currently, railroad companies, street, suburban or interurban railroad companies, pipeline companies, motor truck or motor tank car companies, water transportation companies, and every person transporting reportable motor fuel to a point in this State from a point without this State). Effective immediately.

1    AN ACT concerning revenue.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The Motor Fuel Tax Law is amended by changing
5Section 7b as follows:
 
6    (35 ILCS 505/7b)  (from Ch. 120, par. 423b)
7    Sec. 7b. Every railroad company, street, suburban or
8interurban railroad company, or pipeline company, motor truck
9or motor tank car company and water transportation company
10transporting reportable motor fuel either in interstate or in
11intrastate commerce, to points within this State, and every
12person, transporting reportable motor fuel to a point in this
13State from a point without this State shall report all
14deliveries of reportable motor fuel made to points within
15Illinois to the Department of Revenue on forms prescribed by
16it.
17    Such reports shall cover monthly periods, shall be
18submitted within 30 days after the close of the month covered
19by the report, shall show the name and address of the person to
20whom the deliveries of reportable motor fuel have actually and
21in fact been made, the name and address of the originally named
22consignee, if reportable motor fuel has been delivered to any
23other than the originally named consignee, the point of

1origin, the point of delivery, the date of delivery, and the
2number and initials of each car, if shipped by rail, the
3quantity of each shipment and delivery in gallons, the date
4delivered, the name of the person to whom delivered the point
5of shipment, the point of delivery, the name of the boat or
6barge, if delivered by water, and if delivered by other means,
7the manner in which such delivery is made.

9    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
10becoming law.
