SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

20 ILCS 405/405-294 new

Amends the Department of Central Management Services Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Provides that the Department of Central Management Services in coordination with the various Departments of State government shall review the application procedures by which State services are provided in an effort to streamline procedures, improve efficiency, and eliminate unnecessary forms and paperwork from the application process by 2023. Provides for the adoption of rules. Effective immediately.

AN ACT concerning State government.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Department of Central Management Services Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is amended by adding Section 405-294 as follows:

Sec. 405-294. Streamline State services. The Department of Central Management Services in coordination with the various Departments of State government shall review the application procedures by which State services are provided in an effort to streamline procedures, improve efficiency, and eliminate unnecessary forms and paperwork from the application process by 2023. The Department may adopt rules necessary to implement the requirements of this Section.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.
