625 ILCS 5/7-603

from Ch. 95 1/2, par. 7-603

Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the penalty for invalid or counterfeit insurance cards.

A BILL FOR

AN ACT concerning transportation.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Illinois Vehicle Code is amended by changing Section 7-603 as follows:

(625 ILCS 5/7-603) (from Ch. 95 1/2, par. 7-603)

Sec. 7-603. Illegal insurance cards - penalty. No person shall alter an invalid insurance card to make it appear valid. No person knowingly shall make, sell or otherwise make available an invalid or counterfeit insurance card.

Any person convicted of a violation of this this Section is guilty of a Class 4 felony.
