SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of James S. "Jamie" Lowe of Naperville,
4who passed away on March 5, 2022; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Jamie Lowe was born in Washington, D.C. to Joan
6and James S. Lowe Sr. on December 19, 1956; he graduated from
7Niles North High School in 1975 and received his degree in
8political science from DePaul University; he married Janet K.
9Brady on June 4, 1988 and lived in Chicago and Glenview before
10settling in Naperville; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Jamie Lowe spent his entire career in residential
12real estate, at first working for multiple agencies and later
13as an independent broker with James Lowe Realty, established
14in 2000; he was a former trustee for the Lisle-Woodridge Fire
15Department for many years and a strong supporter of the
16firefighter profession; he also served as the Lisle Township
17Republican Chairman; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Jamie Lowe was an avid sailboat racer with 45
19years of sailing to Mackinaw Island and a former commodore of
20the Island Goats Sailing Society in Chicago; he was active in
21raising funds for the Friends of Lisle Township Food Pantry;
22he was also an avid runner and athlete; and

1    WHEREAS, Jamie Lowe was preceded in death by his father,
2James S. Lowe Sr.; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Jamie Lowe was the cherished husband of Janet K.
4Lowe; the loving father of Jacqueline and Jillian Lowe; the
5dearest brother of Shaun (Kim) Lowe; the dear uncle of Kate,
6Matthew, and Emma Lowe; and best friend and buddy to Jagger the
7dog and Archie the cat; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10James S. "Jamie" Lowe and extend our sincere condolences to
11his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Jamie Lowe as an expression of our
15deepest sympathy.
