SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Sabina "Sheila" Gaughan Brosnahan, who passed away on July 22, 2021; and

WHEREAS, Sabina Brosnahan was born in Doohoma, County Mayo, Ireland on September 9, 1923; and

WHEREAS, Sabina Brosnahan worked for 60 years as a registered nurse in London, Ireland, and Chicago; and

WHEREAS, Sabina Brosnahan was preceded in death by her husband, James; her daughter, Sheilann Brosnahan; and her siblings, Anthony, Richard, Bridget, Mary, Thomas, Packy, Ciss, and Mike; and

WHEREAS, Sabina Brosnahan is survived by her children, Mary Margaret (Kriston Kato) and James (Janet) Brosnahan; her grandchildren, Tierney (Michael Wagner), James, Julia, and Quinn; her great-grandchild, Raffaella; the families of Carey and Wally Dickman, Brian Kato, and Christine and Tim Collins; and her sister, Sadie (Paddy) Heneghan; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Sabina "Sheila" Gaughn Brosnahan and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Sabina Brosnahan as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
