SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of William S. "Bill" Habel of Naperville,
4formerly of Lisle, who passed away on July 29, 2021 at the age
5of 63; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Bill Habel was born in Melrose Park on January
710, 1958; he graduated from Proviso East High School in 1976;
8he received his bachelor's degree from National Labor College
9in 2006 and his master's degree from George Mason University
10in 2010; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Bill Habel started his career as an electrician
12in 1986 and was a member of I.B.E.W Local #701; he retired as
13an assistant business manager; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Bill Habel enjoyed playing golf, boating,
15drinking beer, visiting beaches, grilling, floating in his
16pool, and listening to Tom Petty and Margaritaville radio; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Bill Habel was preceded in death by his mother
18and stepfather, MaryAnn and Eugene Maneschalchi; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Bill Habel was the cherished husband of 39 years
20of Judy Habel; the beloved dad of Stefanie and Jeff Martens and

1Lauren and Grant Simon; the brother of Debbie and Dave Dul,
2Connie and the late Tom Gray, and Diana and Tony Leamons; and
3the dear uncle of many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6William S. "Bill" Habel and extend our sincere condolences to
7his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
8further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Bill Habel as an expression of our
11deepest sympathy.
