SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Henry Vincent Burns III, who passed away on November 3, 2022; and

WHEREAS, Henry Burns was born to Marjorie (Seaver) and Henry V. Burns II in St. Louis, Missouri on May 29, 1945; he graduated from Alleman High School and Black Hawk College; he served as a sergeant in the U.S. Army in Vietnam; and

WHEREAS, Henry Burns worked in HVAC; he retired as a construction administrator from the St Louis office of KJWW; and

WHEREAS, Henry was an avid golfer and a St. Louis Cardinals fan; and

WHEREAS, Henry Burns was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Bonnie; and his sister, Kathi Tiechne; and

WHEREAS, Henry Burns is survived by his wife, Karen; his children, Jason (Amy) Burns, Tim (Alicia) Burns, Daniel (Elsa) Impens, and Scott (Tera) Impens; his grandchildren, Connor Burns, Ava Burns, Ashton Burns, Isabella Impens, Elin Impens, Katherine Impens, Abigail Papke, and Zachary Papke; his sibling, Thomas (Rita) Burns; his in-laws, Jac Tiechner, David (Sharyn) Stockdale, and Joan Stockdale; and his many other relatives and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Henry Vincent Burns III and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Henry Burns as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
