| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | 3 | | to learn of the death of Jack Matthew Pfund of Edwardsville, | 4 | | who passed away on August 19, 2022; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Jack Pfund was born in Maryville to Matthew and | 6 | | Kristen (Moran) Pfund on January 10, 2003; and
| 7 | | WHEREAS, Jack Pfund worked as an operation coordinator for | 8 | | the Pfund Construction Company; he loved construction since | 9 | | the moment he could walk; he was known for being extremely | 10 | | territorial about his equipment, often not even letting his | 11 | | own father operate it; he could often be seen on Saturday | 12 | | driving his dump truck with his dog Frank sitting shotgun; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Jack Pfund always seemed wiser beyond his years; | 14 | | he had a big heart, and if anyone needed something, he was the | 15 | | first one to be there and the last one to leave; he volunteered | 16 | | with Habitat for Humanity and many other organizations when | 17 | | help was needed; and | 18 | | WHEREAS, Jack Pfund loved spending time with his | 19 | | girlfriend, Brooke, and her family; often their date nights | 20 | | consisted of a drive-by of all the job sites and a quiz on the | 21 | | machine names; his best friends were Charlie and Laynie, and |

| 1 | | they knew everything about each other; and
| 2 | | WHEREAS, Jack Pfund was the heart and soul of his family | 3 | | and will be deeply missed; and
| 4 | | WHEREAS, Jack Pfund is survived by his parents; his | 5 | | sister, Laynie Pfund; his brother, Charles Pfund; his paternal | 6 | | grandparents, John and Sue Pfund; and his maternal | 7 | | grandparents, William and Virginia Moran; therefore, be it
| 8 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | 9 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 10 | | Jack Matthew Pfund and extend our sincere condolences to his | 11 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 12 | | further
