SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Michelle R. Gentzyel of Granite City,
4who passed away on December 3, 2021; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Michelle Gentzyel was born to Barbara J. (Miller)
6Keiley and the late Philip D. Beadles in Decatur on November
720, 1965; she married Douglas S. Gentzyel in Decatur on
8September 4, 1993; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Michelle Gentzyel dedicated her life to taking
10care of others, running a daycare for 22 years before
11transitioning to adult home health care; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Michelle Gentzyel was an avid reader and very
13active in her church; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Michelle Gentzyel's greatest joy was being a
15grandmother, and she was affectionately known as "Nana" to her
16grandchildren; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Michelle Gentzyel is survived by her husband of
1828 years, Douglas S. Gentzyel; her daughters, Nichole (Tanner)
19Alexander, Danielle (Huston) Smith, and Joelle Dyer; her son,
20Nathanael Gentzyel; her grandchildren, Camden Alexander, Ava

1Alexander, Ethan Dyer, and Colby Gentzyel; her sister, Alicia
2Tran; her brothers, Les (Lorene) Beadles and Mike (Marci)
3Beadles; and numerous nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6Michelle R. Gentzyel and extend our sincere condolences to her
7family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
8further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Michelle Gentzyel as an expression
11of our deepest sympathy.
