SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Susan M. Kalas of Huntley, who passed away on December 27, 2019; and

WHEREAS, Susan Kalas was born in Chicago to Walter and Zenona Wojciechowski on October 7, 1971; she married James Kalas on March 14, 2009; and

WHEREAS, Susan Kalas was the Executive Clinical Director of Nursing for Asbury Healthcare; she was devoted to caring for people; she was passionate about nursing and dedicated to helping others; and

WHEREAS, Susan Kalas was an animal lover, especially rescue dogs; her greatest joy was being a mom to her three boys; and

WHEREAS, Susan Kalas was preceded in death by her mother, Zenona; and

WHEREAS, Susan Kalas is survived by her husband, James Kalas; her boys, Andy, Nathan, and Kyle; her father, Walter Wojciechowski; her sister, Eva (Steve) Coker; and numerous nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Susan M. Kalas and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Susan Kalas as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
