SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of David E. McCall Sr. of Moline, who passed away on January 17, 2020; and

WHEREAS, David McCall Sr. was born in Rock Island to James E. McCall and Margaret Van Hoeck McCall on June 16, 1930; he graduated from Rock Island High School; he served in the U.S. Air Force; and

WHEREAS, David McCall Sr. worked as a machinist and in quality control at the Rock Island Arsenal; he retired in 1986; and

WHEREAS, David McCall Sr. was a member of Friends Circle and the Moose Club; he enjoyed fishing, boating, hunting, golfing, and watching the Chicago Cubs on television; he also enjoyed spending time with his friends at Jim's Knoxville Tap; and

WHEREAS, David McCall Sr. was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Betty; and his ex-wives, Dolores and Judy; and

WHEREAS, David McCall Sr. is survived by his children, Laurie McCall Partlow, David (Joyce) McCall Jr., Dolores (DeeDee) McCall, and James Eugene McCall II; his sister, Cynthia (Jim) Jordan; his grandchildren, John (Tammy) Smith, Stacey Holt, Evelyn Lindley, Eric Partlow, Amy (Jamie) Lindley, and James (Beth) McCall III; his great-grandchildren, Justin (Krystal) Smith, Matthew Smith, Logan Smith, Zachery (Kelsey) Haas, Dakota (Madison) Haas, Cody Holt, James McCall IV, Zachary McCall, Lucas McCall, and Emily McCall; his great-great-grandchildren, Levi Smith, October Smith, and Chevy Haas; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of David E. McCall Sr. and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of David McCall Sr. as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
