SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Glen D. Dickinson of Rock Island, who passed away on January 7, 2020; and

WHEREAS, Glen Dickinson was born on July 22, 1929 in Moline to Ralph and Edna (Anderson) Dickinson; he honorably served his country in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam War; and

WHEREAS, Glen Dickinson married Andree Bousseronde-Stokes on June 22, 1975 in Rock Island; he enjoyed camping, vacationing in Texas, working with stained glass, watching sports, and playing cards, especially euchre; and

WHEREAS, Glen Dickinson was preceded in death by his wife, Andree; his parents Ralph and Edna; sisters, Charlotte Kribble, Doris Clevenger, and Loretta Kassel; and brothers Ralph, Eugene, Roger, and Donald Dickinson; and

WHEREAS, Glen Dickinson is survived by his children, William Stokes, Larry Stokes, Kathy (David) Rice, Kenneth (Linda) Stokes, and Doreen Leahy; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; siblings, Pauline Gabbert and James Dickinson; and many extended family members and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Glen D. Dickinson and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Glen Dickinson as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
