SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Wayne E. Crider of East Moline, who passed away on December 20, 2019; and

WHEREAS, Wayne Crider was born in Carrier Mills to Ausceon "Jack" and Lois Crider on May 27, 1922; he married Alma Ellis in Morehead City, North Carolina in 1944; he served as a sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II and the Korean War; and

WHEREAS, Wayne Crider worked as a parts supervisor at John Deere for 37 years; and

WHEREAS, Wayne Crider was an active bowler and served as president of the John Deere bowling league for many years; he enjoyed scenic road trips across the country, history, wrestling, old westerns, and game shows; he was an advocate for nature, and it showed through his landscaped backyard and his welcoming manner toward wildlife; and

WHEREAS, Wayne Crider was preceded in death by his wife, Alma; and

WHEREAS, Wayne Crider is survived by his son, Gary (Zoila) Crider; his grandchildren, Wayne, Andrea, and Ylva; and his sister, Lorene Rhodes; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Wayne E. Crider and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Wayne Crider as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
