SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Mary Lou Turcol of Benld, who passed away on December 30, 2019; and

WHEREAS, Mary Lou Turcol was born to John and Mary (Katich) Cavallo on October 9, 1941; she graduated from St. John's College of Nursing in Springfield and received her master's degree in nursing and geriatrics from the University of Illinois in Springfield; she married Robert Lee Turcol in Benld at St. Joseph Church on April 4, 1964; and

WHEREAS, Mary Lou Turcol worked as a registered nurse in the emergency room at St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield; she was also a director for Home Healthcare in Staunton; and

WHEREAS, Mary Lou Turcol enjoyed reading, stitchery club, and spending time with her family; and

WHEREAS, Mary Lou Turcol was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Alison Page; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Louis and Virginia Turcol; and

WHEREAS, Mary Lou Turcol is survived by her husband, Robert; her children, Christina Turcol, Dean Turcol (Suzanne Lobb), and Angela Sandretto (Robert); her grandchildren, Bailey Lovejoy (Keith), Owen Turcol, Tyler Sandretto, and Riley Sandretto; and her sister, Patricia (Peter) Bolt; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Mary Lou Turcol and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Mary Lou Turcol as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
