SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Carole M. Crosby of East Moline, who passed away on December 18, 2019; and

WHEREAS, Carole Crosby was born in Savanna to Charles and Amelia (VanBuer) Peat on March 8, 1924; she served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and married Clarence Crosby in Moline in February of 1948; and

WHEREAS, Carole Crosby enjoyed taking trips to the casino and sewing; her greatest joy was her family, especially her great-grandsons; and

WHEREAS, Carole Crosby was preceded in death by her great-grandson, Charles "Cheddy" Ohr, and her sister, Catherine Edwards; and

WHEREAS, Carole Crosby is survived by her daughter, Celeste Mosher; her granddaughter, Ryan (Kenneth) Ohr; her great-grandsons, K.J. and Ben; and her nephews, Jon and Van (Rhonda) Edwards; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Carole M. Crosby and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Carole Crosby as an expression of our esteem and respect.
