SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Ronald "Ron" Anderson of Moline, who passed away on November 1, 2019; and

WHEREAS, Ron Anderson was born in Freeport to Ralph W. and Mary (Ledbetter) Anderson on May 24, 1943; he served in the U.S. Air Force and married Carolyn D. Stroebel in Glenburn, North Dakota on February 16, 1963; and

WHEREAS, Ron Anderson retired in 1994 as a sheet metal supervisor from Deere & Co.; and

WHEREAS, Ron Anderson enjoyed fishing, golfing, woodworking, and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandson; and

WHEREAS, Ron Anderson was preceded in death by his parents; and

WHEREAS, Ron Anderson is survived by his wife, Carolyn; his children, Jim (Lisa), Sharon, and Doug (Heather) Anderson; his grandchildren, Josh, Tyler, Katherine, Emma, and Maddie; his great-grandson, Kaiden; his sister, Patty (Lenny) Johnson; and his nieces, Karen Johnson, Susan Freeman, and Nancy (Garry) Barnett; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Ronald "Ron" Anderson and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Ron Anderson as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
