SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Loren Joseph Feldner, who passed away on
4January 17, 2019; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Loren Feldner was born in Tinley Park to Joseph
6and Donna Feldner on May 26, 1960; he graduated from Brother
7Rice Catholic High School in 1978, Loyola University in 1982,
8and the Loyola School of Dentistry in 1986; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Loren Feldner practiced dentistry in Orland Park
10at Brasky, Feldner & Associates for 33 years; he was a
11dedicated teacher and lifelong learner; he was a clinical
12professor at the Loyola School of Dentistry and earned his
13Master of Business Administration from the Northwestern
14Kellogg School of Management; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Loren Feldner was actively involved in and
16advocated for his profession; he was a member of the
17International College of Dentistry and the American College of
18Dentists; as part of the American Dental Association (ADA), he
19served as chair of the Council on Dental Accreditation (CODA)
20and the American Dental Political Action Committee (ADPAC); he
21served as a director on the board of the Chicago Dental Society
22(CDS); he was a board member of the Illinois State Dental

1Society (ISDS) and was president of their political action
2committee, DENT-IL-PAC; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Loren Feldner worked tirelessly to provide dental
4services to under privileged communities and veterans in
5Illinois; he created the "Illinois Dentists Salute" dental care
6program, a statewide effort to enlist the dentists of his
7association to provide free dental care to veterans on November
810-11, 2017 in which over 300 dentists provided free services
9to almost 1,000 veterans; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Loren Feldner consistently went above and beyond
11to prioritize and care for his patients and provide them with
12the finest and most compassionate dental care; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Loren Feldner was preceded in death by his mother,
14Donna Marie Feldner; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Loren Feldner is survived by his father, Joseph
16Feldner; his daughter, Alexandra Feldner; his siblings, Duane
17Feldner and Janeen Pikula; many loving nieces and nephews; and
18numerous family members and friends; therefore, be it
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
20ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
21Loren Joseph Feldner and extend our sincere condolences to his

1family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
2further
 
3    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
4presented to the family of Loren Feldner as an expression of
5our deepest sympathy.
