SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Robert E. "Bob" Collis of East Moline, who passed away on September 27, 2019; and

WHEREAS, Bob Collis was born in Moline to Charles W. and Flora M. Walthers Collis on September 19, 1931; he served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was stationed in Germany; he married Francis Rusk; he later married Linda B. Bowles on February 14, 1981; and

WHEREAS, Bob Collis was employed as a data processing professor at Black Hawk College and retired in 1989 after 20 years of service; and

WHEREAS, Bob Collis was a proud member of the American Legion Post 227 East Moline; he enjoyed playing golf, fishing, and winning at cards; and

WHEREAS, Bob Collis was preceded in death by his parents; his daughters, Barbara Collis and Sandra Bullock; and several siblings; and

WHEREAS, Bob Collis is survived by his wife; his son, Robert (Diane Hendricks) Collis Jr.; his stepsons, Eric Youngren and Mike (Nora) Youngren; and his brothers, Dave Collis and Jack (Mary Ellen) Collis; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Robert E. "Bob" Collis and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Bob Collis as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
