SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of April Danielle Brazier Green, who passed away on September 19, 2019; and

WHEREAS, April Green was born to Dr. Byron T. and Evangelist Mary Brazier on August 19, 1968; she attended the World Harvest Bible College in Columbus, Ohio before moving to Texas, where she became a home healthcare provider; she eventually moved back to Chicago and entered the systematic ministry process at Apostolic Church of God; and

WHEREAS, April Green started a business as a hair technician, K.I.C. with April B; and

WHEREAS, April Green was very charismatic, adventurous, and smart and had a beautiful singing voice; she loved caring for others and cooking and was deeply committed to her faith; and

WHEREAS, April Green is survived by her husband, Andre Green; her parents; her children, Dante James, Shante James, Breyana Patterson, Jemari Colyar, and Mariyah Patterson; her grandchildren, D'niyah, Paris, Nasir, Quran, London, A'brealle, Breion, and Londyn; her sister, Jacqueline Johnson; her brothers, Byron T. Brazier Jr. and Andre Wojtuski; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of April Danielle Brazier Green and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of April Green as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
