SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Richard A. Schulmeister of Milan, who
4passed away on August 8, 2019; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Richard Schulmeister was born in Rock Island to
6Gustav and Lucille Nares Schulmeister on November 10, 1951; he
7graduated from Rock Island High School and later attended St.
8Ambrose University; he married Nancy J. Berndt in Moline on
9April 20, 1974; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Richard Schulmeister was a veteran of the United
11States Navy; he retired from John Deere Plow Planter; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Richard Schulmeister was a member of St. Ambrose
13Catholic Church in Milan; he enjoyed fishing, camping,
14traveling, and the "Salt Life"; his favorite times were those
15spent with friends and family, especially his grandchildren,
16whom he adored; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Richard Schulmeister was preceded in death by his
18father; his mother; and his stepmother, Elsie Schulmeister; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Richard Schulmeister is survived by his wife
20Nancy; his daughter, Carrie (Chad) Ware; his son, Brent

1Schulmeister; his grandchildren, Ethan Ware, Ava Ware, Emma
2Ware, Andruw Schulmeister, and William "Gus" Schulmeister; his
3sisters, Patricia Sloan and Jean (Ronald) Apple; his brother,
4Robert Schulmeister; his many brothers-in-law and
5sisters-in-law and their families; and many nieces and nephews;
6therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9Richard A. Schulmeister and extend our sincere condolences to
10his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Richard Schulmeister as an
14expression of our deepest sympathy.
