SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Raymond F. Rogina, who passed away on July 13, 2019; and

WHEREAS, Raymond Rogina served in the United States Army during World War II; and

WHEREAS, Raymond Rogina retired from the City of Joliet after 36 years of service as a police officer and a civilian dispatcher; and

WHEREAS, Raymond Rogina was a proud father, grandfather, and great-grandfather; and

WHEREAS, Raymond Rogina was preceded in death by his wife, Mary (Del Bianco) Rogina; his parents, Matthew and Emma (Pavilin) Rogina; his siblings, Matthew, John, Mary, Joseph, Fred, and Christine; and his special friend, Martin Uremovic; and

WHEREAS, Raymond Rogina is survived by his children, Raymond P. (Diane), Michael A. (Sally), and Mark M. (Sandi) Rogina; his grandchildren, Matthew C. (Anna), Mark R., and Anthony L. (Natasha) Rogina; his great-grandson, Henry Rogina; his sister-in-law, Perina Matkovic; and numerous nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Raymond F. Rogina and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Raymond Rogina as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
