SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Kenneth J. "Ken" Womack of Silvis, who passed away on July 29, 2019; and

WHEREAS, Ken Womack was born on June 17, 1942; he served in the United States Army; and

WHEREAS, Ken Womack retired from John Deere as a welder; and

WHEREAS, Ken Womack enjoyed working with the kids at Viscioni's Boxing Gym, including traveling to and judging the matches; his hobbies were hunting, fishing, and bowling with family and friends; he was loving, generous, and selfless and enjoyed being a father; he will be remembered for his sense of humor; and

WHEREAS, Ken Womack was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Darren; and his wife, Patricia; and

WHEREAS, Ken Womack is survived by his sisters, Nadine and Lyndie; his three daughters; his two stepchildren; his 15 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Kenneth J. "Ken" Womack and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Ken Womack as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
