SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Arthur W. "Art" Dillon of Colona, who passed away on July 8, 2019; and

WHEREAS, Art Dillon was born in Moline to Raymond and Elizabeth Van Vleck Dillon on April 20, 1942; he served in the United States Army; he married Cathy Francis; and

WHEREAS, Art Dillon retired from the former Case IH Plant in East Moline; and

WHEREAS, Art Dillon was preceded in death by his parents; a brother; and a sister; and

WHEREAS, Art Dillon is survived by his wife, Cathy; his children, Michael, Michelle, Steve, Elaine (Jeff), and William; and several grandchildren; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Arthur W. "Art" Dillon and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Art Dillon as an expression of our esteem and respect.
