| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Quinton E. Ford of Moline, who passed | 4 | | away on June 12, 2019; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Quinton Ford was born in Rock Island to Quinton | 6 | | and Vivian (Vroman) Ford on May 5, 1942; he was a veteran of | 7 | | the United States Navy; he married Joyce A. Thorngren at | 8 | | Trinity Lutheran Church in Moline on December 17, 1960; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Quinton Ford worked in structural steel sales and | 10 | | retired in 2005; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Quinton Ford was a member of Trinity Lutheran | 12 | | Church, where he was active as an assisting minister, a Sunday | 13 | | school and a vacation bible school teacher, a confirmation | 14 | | leader, a Befriender volunteer, and a Via de Cristo | 15 | | participant; he coached many youth basketball, baseball, | 16 | | softball, and football teams; he was a past president of the | 17 | | Willard School PTA, a Scout leader, a Hospice volunteer and | 18 | | board member, a member of the American Legion Post 246, a | 19 | | certified NRA firearms instructor, and a volunteer at Arrowhead | 20 | | Ranch; in his younger years, he played semi-professional | 21 | | football for the Davenport Warriors; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Quinton Ford was preceded in death by his parents; | 2 | | his wife, Joyce; and his brothers, Sergei and Patrick; and
| 3 | | WHEREAS, Quinton Ford is survived by his children, Quinton | 4 | | B. (Lauren) Ford, Stacy (Stephen) Elliott, Christopher (Laura) | 5 | | Ford, Sarah (John) Turner, and Joshua (Aimee) Ford; his | 6 | | grandchildren, Haleigh (Ricky) Hoyt, Joel Turner, Carly | 7 | | (Justin) Morris, Quinton T. (Abby) Ford, Aaron Ford, Keaton | 8 | | Ford, Jacob Ford, and Brody Ford; his great-grandchildren, | 9 | | Alena Turner, Ryker Hoyt, Sawyer Morris, Graham Hoyt, Addison | 10 | | Morris, and Ryan Morris; his siblings, Robbin Hensley, Chantel | 11 | | Brems, Burse (Gary) Badley, and Timothy Ford; and his friend, | 12 | | Terry Wisecarver; therefore, be it
