SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Franklin W. Hermann Jr. of East Moline,
4who passed away on June 2, 2019; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Franklin Hermann was born in Rock Island to
6Franklin W. Sr. and Vada Dee Weibring Hermann on August 27,
71932; he served in the U.S. Army in Korea as a corporal from
8December 2, 1952 to November 3, 1954; he married Mary Elizabeth
9Inman; after the passing of his first wife, he married Diana
10Clay; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Franklin Hermann worked as a millwright for the
12former Frank's Foundry in Moline; he retired in the late 1980s;
13and
 
14    WHEREAS, Franklin Hermann was a member of Rock Island
15V.F.W. Post 1303 and Ducks Unlimited; he was an avid
16outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and duck carving; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Franklin Hermann was preceded in death by his
18first wife, Mary; his second wife, Diana; his parents; and his
19grandson, Adam Hines; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Franklin Hermann is survived by his children, Mary

2McCormick, and Jeanne Veasey; 11 grandchildren; eight
3great-grandchildren; and his sister, Vera Beckhart; therefore,
4be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Franklin W. Hermann Jr. and extend our sincere condolences to
8his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
9further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Franklin Hermann as an expression of
12our deepest sympathy.
